FAQ

What assets does Yieldseeker currently support?

Yieldseeker currently supports USDC on the Base network. Support for additional assets, including cbBTC and wETH, has already been integrated into the protocol architecture and will become available as additional vaults are enabled.

How does the Allocation Engine make decisions?

Every allocation follows the same structured decision pipeline. Candidate vaults first pass through eligibility requirements before being assessed using protocol-defined parameters such as liquidity, collateral quality, market conditions, and portfolio constraints. Only after these stages are complete does the Execution Framework perform any on-chain transactions. For more information, see Decision Pipeline.

Does Yieldseeker simply choose the highest APY?

No. The Allocation Engine seeks to optimise for long-term, risk-adjusted returns rather than the highest advertised APY. It considers many parameters—including liquidity, collateral quality, diversification, transaction costs, market conditions, and user preferences—to identify suitable opportunities.

Can I customise how my Agent invests?

Yes. Agents support natural-language preferences and constraints that allow you to personalise portfolio behaviour. Examples include:
  • Never use a particular vault.
  • Only allocate to specific protocols.
  • Maintain a minimum allocation in one protocol.
  • Prefer stability over maximum yield.
These preferences become persistent rules for that individual Agent.

Can I override my Agent’s decisions?

Yes. Agents are autonomous, but not inflexible. You can update your Agent’s preferences, switch between Investment Profiles, or withdraw your assets at any time. This allows you to influence how your Agent behaves without managing every allocation manually.

Can I see why my Agent made a decision?

Yes. You can ask your Agent why a portfolio change occurred, why a particular vault was selected, or how your preferences influenced an allocation. The Agent explains its reasoning in natural language.

How often does my Agent rebalance?

Agents continuously monitor supported opportunities and existing portfolio positions. Portfolio evaluations occur at regular intervals, while rebalancing only takes place when the expected improvement justifies the associated transaction costs and remains consistent with your configured Investment Profile and preferences.

Can my Agent move funds anywhere on-chain?

No. Agents cannot execute arbitrary blockchain transactions. Every action must pass through registered protocol adapters, interact only with approved protocol targets, and satisfy protocol-specific validation before execution is permitted. For more information, see Execution Framework.

Does Yieldseeker support every DeFi protocol?

No. Yieldseeker only allocates to protocols that have been explicitly integrated into the Execution Framework through dedicated protocol adapters. Every new integration undergoes technical review before becoming eligible for allocation.

Does Yieldseeker have access to my funds?

No. Only the owner of an Agent Wallet can initiate withdrawals. Yieldseeker cannot withdraw assets from your wallet or transfer them to arbitrary destinations.

What happens if Yieldseeker goes offline?

Your assets remain inside your Agent Wallet. If the application is temporarily unavailable, you can interact directly with the underlying smart contracts to recover your assets. Where appropriate, the Yieldseeker team can provide guidance during that process. The application provides convenience—not custody.

What happens if one of the supported protocols is exploited?

Yieldseeker continuously monitors supported protocols and vaults. If elevated risk is detected, the affected protocol or vault may be marked as ineligible for future allocations through the protocol’s safety parameters. Where appropriate, Agents may also withdraw from affected positions before reallocating capital to other supported opportunities. As with any DeFi protocol, however, no system can guarantee immediate exits during extreme market-wide liquidity events.

Can I withdraw my funds at any time?

Yes. Users can withdraw their assets whenever they choose. Withdrawals are initiated exclusively by the owner of the Agent Wallet and do not require approval from Yieldseeker.

How are new protocols added?

Yieldseeker supports new protocols through dedicated protocol adapters. Before a new integration becomes available, it must be:
  • technically reviewed
  • implemented through a dedicated protocol adapter
  • registered within the Adapter Registry
  • approved through hardware-backed multisignature controls
  • protected by a four-day administrative timelock
This process helps ensure that protocol extensions remain transparent, predictable, and secure.

Has Yieldseeker been audited?

Yes. Yieldseeker’s smart contracts have been independently audited by Nethermind. The audit report and the protocol’s smart contract source code are publicly available.
